Heavens Currency, Do You Have It?

1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour”.

Keep in mind that we ALL have an adversary, Whether you are a Christian or non- believer. This enemy (Satan) is said to roam around ” like” a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. So from this text we should be aware that he is not a lion but likened to one.

So what does the enemy want to devour exactly?

My answer to this question is Faith. He knows that faith is powerful, it is the currency of Heaven, along with the blood of our precious LORD Jesus Christ. He knows that “without faith it is impossible to please God”.(Hebrews 11:6)

So stand strong in your faith, I don’t care what odds are stacked up against you, hold on to your faith!!!

Hebrews 11:1English Standard Version (ESV)

“Now Faith is the assurance of the things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”.

  1. Amen brother Shamel, I agree. He walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour…he wants to devour our faith, as we go through trials and troubles, and causes all kinds of chaos &distress in our lives, and that’s when we need to draw closer & closer to God (preferably BEFORE a trial comes our way!) , because his ultimate goal is to get us to not believe God’s word & to doubt & disbelieve in our lords word. He also comes to kill, steal, and destroy as much as he can, but that is exactly when we must put on the whole armor of God and stand firm in His promises and have faith. Amen. And God bless you & your family always
