Salvation is derived from the Greek word “Sozō or Sōtēria” which is the feminine noun. The New Testament as you may know is written in the Greek dialect. Sozō and Sōtēria means much more than being saved from hell or having fire insurance. These words are drenched in power, these words sozō and Sōtēria mean: to save a suffering ( from perishing ), to save from disease, to make well, to heal, to restore to health, to preserve one from danger of destruction, to rescue. They also mean wholeness, soundness, preservation and salvation.
What a revelation beloved what a truth!
This divine truth of the true meaning of salvation, will indeed strengthen our faith. We need to be mindful of the true meaning of salvation or sozō, sōtēria every time we encounter them in scripture. Thereby releasing it’s true power.
