Esteem Not Thy Self

What we speak about the most, is what we exalt or esteem highly. Without even noticing, we are in reality giving these things praise or precedence over the things of God. We should be mindful and attentive on what we turn our attention to, because the precedence belongs to God.

It is God who the attention belongs to, it is God who so rightly belongs the “Glory”. Isaiah 42:8 ” I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory, I will not give to another”. God wants to be glorified and should be exalted, Yes even above “You” and your problems.

Perhaps you may be inclined to give glory to your problems. It could be a medical situation, financial grip, or perhaps a dissolving relationship. I understand, that tremendous pain and peril, could be entrenched into the very fabric of your life. We with our finite wisdom and earthly emotions tend to fixate on discomfort, but what does God say? ” Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these Things will be added to you” ( Matthew 6:33 ). Notice the word “things” but what things? I believe God is speaking of His divine promises of provision.

( Matthew 6:8 ) “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the ” Things ” you need before you ask Him”. So do not be like the unbelievers, who do not have these rich promised of God’s blessings and provision.

So rest beloved in the sure promises of our Father and God and be submerged in perfect peace, that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). God bless you and may the peace of Christ Jesus engulf you forever, Amen
